Aloha!! Hawaii Wood frames started on the North shore of Oahu, where Rob started working as an employee for a frame shop.   There he learned how to make frames and enjoyed seeing the beautiful results that would bring happiness to the customers and himself.  The frame shop closed because the owner retired. Several years passed by where Rob worked in other fields.  The passion for making wood frames was reignited when he saw on Craigslist equipment to make frames for sale.  Since then he has made frames for friends for all kinds of occasions, such as gifts to family members for graduation, weddings or just a piece of art that needed a more respectful home.  He has also worked with artists in Hawaii to frame pictures and paintings.

We buy wood locally and they are all very high quality solid wood, nothing is veneered.  We have a wide choice of wood, such as Koa, mahogany, maple or mango.
